Seacontractors verkoopt werkbootactiviteiten aan Jifmar

JBR trad op als M&A adviseur voor Seacontractors bij de carve-out en verkoop van de werkbootactiviteiten aan Jifmar.

Seacontractors verkoopt werkbootactiviteiten aan Jifmar

JBR begeleidde Seacontractors bij het gehele proces omtrent de carve-out en de verkoop van haar werkbootactiviteiten.

Het Franse Jifmar neemt de werkbootactiviteiten over van Seacontractors. De werkbootvloot van Seacontractors bestaat uit 15 boten, met name actief in de Perzische golf en Oost-Afrika. Het kantoor in het Midden-Oosten en de lokale werknemers zijn eveneens overgegaan naar Jifmar als onderdeel van de transactie.

Seacontractors is een toonaangevende aanbieder van maritieme diensten. Met een vloot van 8 Anchor Handling Tugs (AHT) en Multi-Purpose Vessels (MPV), actief in meer dan 95 landen, richt Seacontractors zich op de olie- & gas-, salvage-, towage-, renewables- en maritieme infrastructuursector.

Seacontractors is opgericht in 2004 en gevestigd in Vlissingen, Nederland. De onderneming heeft een trackrecord van meer dan 15 jaar en heeft zich ontwikkeld tot de grootste Shoalbuster-operator wereldwijd, actief op 5 continenten.
Seacontractors biedt een breed scala aan maritieme diensten, waaronder anchor handling, terminal towage en deep sea/coastal towage, en bedient daarmee sectoren als olie & gas, salvage, towage, renewables en maritieme infrastructuur (inclusief ship- en terminal handling). De vloot bestaat uit Anchor Handling Tugs (AHT/AHTS) en Multi-Purpose Vessels met een bollard pull variërend van 70 – 200 ton.
Seacontractors telt momenteel meer dan 150 medewerkers en is wereldwijd actief, met projecten in onder meer het Midden-Oosten, Europa, Afrika en de Indische Oceaan.

Jifmar

Jifmar Group is een van de wereldwijde marktleiders onder onafhankelijke workboat-operators. Jifmar Group and Seacontractors finalize the transfer of the workboat fleet

Jifmar strengthens its global leadership in shallow-draft maritime operations. Aix-en-Provence, France & Vlissingen, the Netherlands: Jifmar Group and Seacontractors announce today the finalization of the transfer of Seacontractors’ fleet of 15 workboats, following the agreement signed on 28 August 2025. As of 19 November 2025, the vessels and associated teams will officially join Jifmar, marking a significant step in the Group’s expansion across the Middle East and Indian Ocean regions.

The transaction includes a six-month transfer services agreement under which Seacontractors will continue to support fleet operations, ensuring continuity for clients and a seamless handover of ongoing projects. The team within the Dubai office and the seafaring crew assigned to the fleet will transfer to Jifmar and maintain their current commitments towards the future.

With this acquisition, Jifmar Group now operates a fleet of 84 vessels, including 26 units positioned in the Middle East and Indian Ocean, consolidating its status as the leading global operator of shallow-draft workboats. The expanded fleet strengthens Jifmar’s capacity to deliver turnkey maritime solutions to the energy- and coastal infrastructure industries.

Jifmar will also use its reinforced presence in the Middle East to expand its industrial solutions in the region.

This deeper local footprint will allow the Group to accelerate the rollout of its industrial services, provide stronger support to key clients, and further strengthen its long-term commitment to this rapidly growing market.
